Comparing multiple data sources to identify the taste of water

Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink. We wanted to see what people think water tastes like, and if there is a particular taste or flavor that is commonly attributed to a particular brand of bottled water.

To do this, we used a lot of text data, and compiled consumer opinions from social media, forums, reviews and online rankings for eight of the most popular bottled water brands.

Based on all this analysis, we were then able to create unique flavour profiles for each brand which can be used to shape product positioning and marketing strategy.
