Infrastructure and Service Availability

Relative Insight has implemented a reliable and scalable infrastructure that can handle large amounts of data and traffic. We take advantage of AWS’s wide range of services and features to build a highly available and fault-tolerant infrastructure. The Relative Insight platform is hosted by AWS in the EU-West1 instance.

The platform has multiple redundancy features in addition to those provided by AWS themselves. To ensure uptime, snapshots of critical systems are taken regularly and stored securely away from the production environment.

The databases are regularly backed-up to ensure that in the event of a failure, these can be restored in a timely manner.

Relative insight uses multiple Availability Zones to create a highly resilient infrastructure which provides low latency and withstand hardware and software failures. Relative Insight uses RDS on the database instances to provide automatic data failover and replication. This approach provides a high level of data redundancy across our services. Application Load Balancers are used to ensure the availability of services and prevent overloading of the platform.

Relative Insight exploits the scaling and self-healing properties of the AWS environment to ensure the availability of our services.
